About the musicians

The Alinde Quartet has been invited to renowned festivals such as the Verbier Festival, Aldeburgh Residencies, Chamber Music European Meetings in Bordeaux and the Mozartfest Würzburg. In summer 2018, it was part of the Chamber Music Residence at the festival in Aix-en-Provence. The quartet has also performed with great success at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the WDR Funkhaus Cologne and the Kölner Philharmonie.

The four musicians were able to study with two of the greats of chamber music: Professor Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet) at the "Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia" in Madrid and the year before with Eberhard Feltz at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music in Berlin.

Further inspiration comes from important personalities such as Sir Prof András Schiff, Ferenc Rados, Ida Bieler, András Keller, Tabea Zimmermann, Alessandro Moccia, Erich Höbarth, Natalia Prischepenko, Christoph Richter and Richard Gwilt. But they are never done learning and searching and remain curious and open to new turns and worlds. And so the four have been working and studying with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) in Basel since 2018.

In addition to its professional engagements, the ensemble brings children and young people closer to the fascinating world of chamber music by organising numerous educational projects in venues such as the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and regularly in cooperation with the Cologne Philharmonic Orchestra and at the Ida Bieler Academy in Cologne.
